Well I'm bored and the description of this section says to post your new upgrades, so here I go! Also for anybody wondering who I am, I was in Rising Arms during the AoC-period under the name of Xeno.

After playing the Bad Company 2 Beta I decided that my E8400 and P5N-D had passed its time and that 40fps would not do in such an amazing game. It was time to upgrade! Here are the specs of my new PC, running Windows 7 64-bit:

CPU: i7 920 2.66GHz stock oc'd to 4.00GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GTX 285

Case: Antec 900

Headset: Sennhesier PC350
Mouse: Roccat Kone
Keyboard: Logitech G19

In the next few months I will be upgrading my GPU to either the Radeon 5970 or the GTX 480 (and then giving my old one to Balive) depending on which benchmarks higher. I will also be upgrading my PSU up to 850w to support the new GPU. I have to say this setup is performing very well, I'm running all high 1920x1200 with HSAO on in Bad Company 2 and the lowest my frames is about 60fps. I would definitely recommend the Roccat Kone if anybody is in the market for a new mouse, I've tried most gaming mouses including the Razer Mamba and the Kone is the best so far.

You have inspired me. I just purchased a new monitor. And a new mouse pad. I'm trying to change how I'm playing to become more efficient and trying to figure out why I can't fucking hit anything in these games. You said you got a score of 18000 that one game and I've never had over 2000.

I will also post pictures of my current rig tomorrow. So excited.

Nah don't worry, it's not a real gun. They are illegal in the UK! It's a replica gun made for Airsoft which is basically paintball, but better. It does feel very realistic though, also the red dot sight does work.

If you are going to get a new mouse pad I would recommend the one I'm using, the Roccat Taito. I've tried a load of mouse pads including the Steelseries SX, Steelseries Icemat and Razer Goliathus and I have to say even though the Roccat one is cheaper it is more comfortable and provides more space and better control than the others. Then again I guess it is down to personal taste.
